On September 25th, 2021, Twitter user MattPostSaysHi tweeted, "I just know I’d sleep better if I wore this shit," captioning a different costume with the same "nightcap, nightgown & candle stick holder" outfit. Additionally, the image of the man dressed in the pajamas was taken from the costumes website Costumes Galore, being the product image for "Nighttime Scrooge Costume." Over the course of three years, the post received roughly 1,400 upvotes (shown below). Redditor BarfMilkshake captioned the post, "Drake the type of Nyquil nigga to go to sleep wearing this…" inherently referencing the Drake the type of guy trend which the subreddit is dedicated to. On December 22nd, 2019, Redditor BarfMilkshake posted a picture to the /r/DrakeTheType subreddit of a Halloween costume stock image.
